Dr. Manbachi was the “Director of Innovations” at the Carnegie Center as well as a research faculty in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on various imaging modalities for interventional spine applications. He obtained his PhD from the University of Toronto, under the supervision of Dr. Richard S.C. Cobbold. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (2015-16) and the founder and CEO of Spinesonics Medical (2012-2015), a spin-off from his doctoral studies.
He currently is the Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs for the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design at Johns Hopkins University.
