Andrew DavisĀ worked on image-guided, robotic-assited surgery in the I-STAR laboratory of Dr. Jeff Siewerdsen. He are utilizing non-circular CBCT imaging trajectories with optimization-based tomographic reconstruction algorithms for robotically assisted surgery. By designing a task-based metric of utility for the patient’s treatment procedure, both parameters of the trajectory and the reconstruction program can be selected to provided a clinicaly useful image of the patient.
